WHAT IS 

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS?

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS IS A TYPE OF EXERCISE THAT SUPPORTS EVERYDAY LIFE. IT INCLUDES MOVEMENT PATTERNS SUCH AS WALKING, PUSHING, PULLING, BENDING, SQUATTING, LUNGING AND CORE. THESE EXERCISES IMPROVE FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH. FUNCTIONAL FITNESS IS SOMETHING THAT IS ROOTED IN ALL OF US.

JERK SESSION TIPS

PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME & READY TO GO BEFORE THE SESSION START TIME WHERE YOU WILL BE GREETED WITH A WARM WELCOME FROM THE JERK FAMILY.

WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR, CLOTHING  AND BRING A DRINK.

ALL SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO BE WRAPPED UP WITHIN 1 HOUR. WITHIN THIS TIME WE WILL GO THROUGH A WARM UP, MAIN SESSION & COOL DOWN.

IN BODYWEIGHT SESSIONS THERE WILL MOST LIKELY BE BURPEES, SQUATS, PUSH UPS AS WELL AS OTHER FUNCTIONAL FITNESS MOVEMENTS YOU MAY BE USED TO AND A POTENTIALLY A FEW NEW ONES TOO. 

IN OUR EQUIPMENT BASED SESSIONS EXPECT BATTLEROPES, KETTLEBELLS, BUMPER PLATES, DUMBBELLS, SKIPPING ROPES, WALL BALLS, SANDBAGS AND SLEDS TO NAME A FEW.

ERGS & MACHINES WE HAVE SKI ERGS, ROW ERGS, ASSAULT BIKES, SPIN BIKES AND TREADMILLS. 

THAT’S BEFORE WE EVEN GET TO THE KEG LIFTING AND TYRE FLIPPING.

THROW INTO THE MIX RUNNING ON THE SAND & SAND DUNES AND THERE YOU HAVE A JERK TRAINING SESSION!

ALL SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO INDIVIDUALLY PUSH YOU ALL WITHIN A POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT. 

YOU CAN MODIFY, SCALE AND REST AS YOU NEED TO. 

WE WILL BE THERE TO HELP EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
